Exploring Ways to Help – Visit to Sierra Leone
After the school opening in Ghana, Christian Krämer and Tilo Braune visited UNICEF representatives in Freetown, Sierra Leone, during their return journey. The country remains one of the poorest in the world. Following a devastating civil war that lasted from 1971 to 2002, Sierra Leone is still struggling to recover. The literacy rate is below 50%. UNICEF’s dedicated team supports vital areas like health, education, and hygiene—especially in rural regions. It’s a tremendous task that deserves support. The Peter Krämer Foundation will evaluate how best to contribute and welcomes every form of assistance.
